Madball announces tenth album “Not Your Kingdom” and shares single “Rebel Kids”

New York hardcore veterans Madball return with their tenth studio album, “Not Your Kingdom,” arriving July 24, 2026 via Nuclear Blast. Alongside the announcement, the band drops the first single “Rebel Kids” with an accompanying music video.

Frontman Freddy Cricien co-directed the video with Dave Causa, who also handled filming and editing duties. According to Cricien, “Rebel Kids” was actually the first track written for the album, completed roughly two years ago. He notes that the song’s sentiment and message shaped the direction of everything that followed. Although several tracks could have served as the lead single, the band ultimately felt “Rebel Kids” made the most sense musically and lyrically.

The album was tracked at The Boneyard Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, with additional interludes recorded by Jeff “Stress” Davis and Chuck Treece at Chop Shop Studios. Furthermore, Andrew Baylis, Aiden Thompson, and Grady Saxman produced and engineered the record, while Lee Rouse mixed and mastered it. Meanwhile, the cover artwork features photography by the late Cornell Capa, courtesy of Magnum Photos and the Cornell Capa Estate.

Fans can pre-order “Not Your Kingdom” on CD, multiple vinyl variants, and merch bundles. Several limited color editions are exclusive to specific retailers across Europe and the US.
