Lzzy Hale releases a cover of “Crawling” by Linkin Park

The band’s widely speculated reunion intentions have rekindled interest in Linkin Park, and lead singer Lzzy Hale of Halestorm has posted a piano version of the band’s gold-certified 2000 hit track “Crawling.” Hale posted her cover to social media yesterday, August 30th, and it can be found here below. She uploaded her rendition without offering any remark, coinciding with speculation that Linkin Park will soon reveal their live comeback, with an unidentified female vocalist replacing the late Chester Bennington. Many people have started wondering about the meaning of this rendition. Hale, one of the most talented female hard rock vocalists of the present, fronted Skid Row for a while this summer.

Linkin Park ended a 100-hour wait on an enigmatic countdown timer earlier this week. Nevertheless, when the timer reached zero, they added some jerky animations, and the clock practically started over—this time counting upward—instead of delivering their much-anticipated reunion announcement. The group has recently revealed they are preparing for an event in Los Angeles on September 5th, which was hinted at by a glitchy animation in that continuous climb.
