Lordi unveils “Dead Again Jayne” music video, new album “Screem Writers Guild” out

Finnish hard rock monster squad Lordi has shared their cinematic new video “Dead Again Jayne“, a single taken from their recently released new LP “Screem Writers Guild”. You can watch the clip below.

The opening song from the new album, released via Atomic Fire Records, is dominated by a morbid, “Frankenstein-ish” atmosphere. The music video was, once again, scripted, directed and edited by Mr. Lordi himself.

The band will start a massive European arena tour alongside Sabaton and Babymetal in April/May as well as select summer festival gigs and a few Austrian shows in autumn. You can check all the tour dates below.

“Screem Writers Guild” was produced by Mr. Lordi with Mana and Janne Halmkrona as executive producers. Ilkka Herkman took care of its mixing and Pauli Saastamoinen mastered the record.

The artwork was also designed by Mr. Lordi who has made a name as director for the band’s vision since the early ’90s. Its title is a reference (and a “LORDIfied” play on words) to the “Screen Writers Guild,” an association of screen writers in Hollywood (’20s to ’50s), yet there is no doubt that Lordi’s musical version is much louder and fiercer. “The record itself isn’t a real concept album, but it obviously plays with the overall cinematic theme,” says Mr. Lordi.
