Norwegian metal outfit Kvelertak is undergoing a significant change as founding member and guitarist Bjarte Lund Rolland parts ways with the group. The announcement, made on Halloween, marks the end of an era that spans five albums and numerous global performances. The split comes at a crucial time as the band prepares for what they’re calling their final tour for the foreseeable future. The Krøterveg Te Helvete Tour will kick off in Kongsberg, Norway, and conclude with a farewell performance in Munich, Germany, on February 28, 2025.

In their statement, the band acknowledged Rolland’s crucial role in establishing Kvelertak‘s international presence, highlighting his songwriting contributions and distinctive stage presence. While the band’s future direction remains uncertain, they have confirmed that all scheduled tour dates will proceed as planned.

The extensive farewell tour will cover multiple European countries, featuring different supporting acts across various legs. Norwegian audiences will get the first chance to see the band with support from Agabas throughout November and December 2024, covering cities from Bodø in the north to Kristiansand in the south.

The tour’s international leg begins in February 2025, featuring support from URNE across Scandinavia and the UK. Select German dates will also include performances by Mantar. Notable stops include:

The final show in Munich’s Theaterfabrik is set to be a particularly significant event, marking not only Rolland’s departure but potentially the band’s last performance for an indefinite period.
