Speed metallers Knife share their next swath of destruction into the scene – the German band’s furious third album, “Into Your Nightmare”, releases December 18, 2026 via Napalm Records. Just in time for the holiday season, the four-piece celebrates the unholy trinity of speed metal, black metal, and scabious punk. “Into Your Nightmare” is heavier, wilder, and definitely more grim than previous releases, resuming Knife‘s path authentically.
Together with the announcement comes the first single. “Shadows” immediately pulls listeners into the eponymous darkness. I“nto Your Nightmare”’s closing track is rapid, shrieking, and brings an energy that will hold you by the neck even after the last note has faded away. If you don’t instantly replay the song, that is.

Leading into the darkness is “Nightmare”, a track that Knife have already unleashed on live audiences. Sawing riffs and a crushing bass line open up the gates to metal hell, flanked by thunderous drums and frontman Vince Nihil demanding, “Follow me into your nightmare.” In the underworld, “Sulphur” bows to the Gods of rock’n’roll, while “Teeth Of The Devil” emerges as the snappiest song in the band’s career so far. Crust punk, thrash, and death metal get put through the meat grinder to make up a proper portion of deadly lunacy. With galloping “Sound Of The Requiem Bell” and the following instrumental interlude, “Home Came The Nameless Dead”, Knife are opening up to classic 80s heavy metal – featuring their trademark energy. The second half of the album first sweeps over listeners with “Gehenna” and its speed metal-heavy melodies and catchy chorus, ready to become the next live classic. “Insanity” offers what its title states, heading back into darkness. Just like on their first demo, “Black Leather Hounds” (2020), Knife pay homage to the true metal maniax on “Into Your Nightmare”, having “Raging Metal” serve just that. “Gospel Of The Grotesque” leans into extreme metal of the 80s, after which “Shadows”bundles all of Knife‘s strengths – unmistakable proof of the band refining their sound.
