King Diamond discusses new horror album trilogy

King Diamond revealed details about his band’s upcoming horror trilogy, starting with “Saint Lucifer’s Hospital 1920,” in a Full Metal Jackie interview. The band is simultaneously working on 10 tracks, including “Lobotomy” and “The Nun.”

“Lobotomy,” nearly complete except for guitar solos, will feature a guest vocalist sharing character duties with King. The song, described as “heavy and very dark” by Metal Blade Records’ Brian Slagel, includes Hammond organ parts and will be performed live.

“The Nun” incorporates Hammond organ throughout, with complex tempo changes and double kick drums. The band hopes to debut “Lobotomy” during their European tour.
