John Corabi, the former frontman of Mötley Crüe, has departed The Dead Daisies following his most recent three-year tenure with the band. His most recent solo album, “New Day,” was published in April by Frontiers Music Srl. Blabbermouth.Net received the following statement from The Dead Daisies.

It has come to our attention that John Corabi has decided to leave The Dead Daisies. We’d like to sincerely thank John for his incredible contribution to the band over the years and wish him nothing but success with his solo career and all his future endeavors.

A little more than a month has passed since The Dead Daisies reunited with bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes for a performance on May 30, 2026, at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois. John’s most recent departure from the band occurs. Glenn performed a 50/50 split set with guitarist Doug Aldrich, drummer Tommy Clufetos, and founder/rhythm guitarist David Lowy under the banner of The Purple Daisies. The set began with ten of The Dead Daisies’ favourite songs and continued with nearly as many iconic Deep Purple classics.

The Purple Daisies have announced that they will do a second show at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California, on October 2, 2026, in response to the great feedback from the sold-out St. Charles concert. After four years in the band, Hughes quit The Dead Daisies in May 2023. Later, a returning Corabi took his place. The Dead Daisies was Corabi’s second spell. In order to create room for Hughes, he left four years after joining in 2015. The band’s final performance at the Stonedead festival on August 23, 2025, was digitally distributed by The Dead Daisies last November.

The Dead Daisies intend to embark on a lengthy tour of Europe and the US in 2027.
