After the death of legendary guitarist Jeff Beck on 10 January, the entire rock and metal world was pervaded by strong emotion. Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Gene Simmons (Kiss), Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), David Coverdale (Whitesnake), and Mick Jagger (Rolling Stone) are just some of the names that these days expressed their condolences on social media.

I met Jeff Beck when I was 17 and I was glad to know a guy like that, a guy who was able to show me how this guitar playing thing should be approached and that’s still very much the case. Jeff was a wondrous soul and we already miss him tremendously.
