This year’s “Louder Than Life” festival in Louisville, Kentucky caused frontman of Five Finger Death Punch Ivan Moody to fall onstage and break his ribs. During the fall, he also suffered some injuries to his hand and side. Moody made a statement about his stay in the hospital in a video that he posted to his Instagram stories.
After the adrenaline wore off this morning I woke up… and I’ve got a bruise that’s running down from the inside of my armpit down to my knee, and my hand feels like its shattered… look at that. So, well see.
Moody revealed the official diagnosis of a rib fracture in a follow-up post.
You gotta be fucking kidding me. It’s always something, man. Well, I will say this much, it was worth it.
You may have heard that Hurricane Helene’s aftermath affected Kentucky this past weekend, which made for less-than-ideal weather for the festival. The concert was cancelled on September 27th due to extremely strong gusts, and attendees were advised to stay indoors. The September 26th concert by Five Finger Death Punch was scheduled for that day, but rain was forecast for later in the evening, resulting in sloppy conditions for several main acts.
