It’s now official: The Amity Affliction parts ways with Ahren Stringer

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, couples and relationships. Well, this year at least one ended on that very same day. The Australian metalcore group The Amity Affliction has explained Ahren Stringer’s ambiguous position. In 2024, the aforementioned bassist and singer was removed from the group to give him more time to deal with his addiction and mental health problems. He would later declare on social media that he was “happy, sober, and thriving” and that he planned to go on tour with the group again a few months later. Stringer has, however, stated in remarks on social media that he did not choose to remain with the band. The band stated that Stringer is no longer associated with The Amity Affliction going forward in a statement released on February 14th.
