Guitarist Kerry King, known from the American thrash metal legend Slayer, released the first solo album of his career, “From Hell I Rise,” on May 17th and played two solo shows in Finland, performing at both Nummirock and Tuska.
The lineup of Kerry King’s solo band is quite notable, featuring vocalist Mark Osegueda (Death Angel), guitarist Phil Demmel (ex-Machine Head, Vio-Lence), bassist Kyle Sanders (Hellyeah), and drummer Paul Bostaph (Slayer) alongside King himself.
Chaoszine sat down with former Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel and discussed about King’s ongoing European tour, Demmel’s relationship with his former band Machine Head, and the upcoming debut album of the supergroup Category 7, set to be released on July 26th via Metal Blade Records.
