Iron Maiden manager confirms the band will not participate at their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Author Benedetta Baldin - 17.4.2026

This November, Iron Maiden will not be attending their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as per theprp. Although the band’s team was polite enough to accept the announcement that they will be inducted earlier this week, they will actually be on tour in Australia when the induction ceremony takes place in Los Angeles, California on November 14. Iron Maiden was originally nominated for admission to the Rock Hall in 2021 and 2023 after years of being disregarded; its third nomination finally makes up for what many have perceived as a long-standing rejection from the institution. Rod Smallwood, the band’s manager, confirmed their absence from that induction ceremony in an interview with Billboard this week.

As the most observant have already noticed, the band will be on tour in Australia around the November date of the induction ceremony for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Los Angeles. In accepting, Iron Maiden made it very clear to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame that the fans always come first and that the shows will, of course, go on. We would like to assure all our fans in Australasia that the Australian and New Zealand dates will remain unaffected and we look forward to bringing the ‘Run For Your Lives‘ tour to them on the penultimate stop of our 50th-anniversary celebrations.

This year, a number of Iron Maiden members, including former vocalist Blaze Bayley, late drummer Clive Burr, and vocalist Paul Di’Anno, will be honoured with induction.
