Infant Annihilator have revealed the title of their long-awaited fourth studio album: The Somnial Plunge Into Cyclic Ebullition. The deathcore project’s new full-length is scheduled to arrive on December 1, 2026.

The title was unveiled in a new teaser posted by the band on October 23, following its earlier announcement of the release date. It will mark the group’s first studio album since 2019’s The Battle of Yaldabaoth, ending a seven-year gap between full-length releases.

Infant Annihilator‘s current lineup features vocalist Dickie Allen alongside founders Eddie Pickard and Aaron Kitcher. The band had been teasing fresh material for some time before confirming its December return.

The newly disclosed name follows the group’s tradition of extravagant album titles, including “The Elysian Grandeval Galèriarch” and “The Battle of Yaldabaoth”.

The band has yet to provide a complete track listing in the material verified for this report. Further details about the album are expected ahead of its December release.

Infant Annihilator was established in 2012 in Hessle near Kingston upon Hull by guitarist Eddie Pickard and drummer Aaron Kitcher. The band’s name was derived from a track of the same name composed by Kitcher’s former band, As the Blessed Fall, and was selected as a parody of death metal band naming conventions. Pickard and Kitcher composed and produced homemade recordings utilizing recording software on Pickard’s computer.

They authored, recorded, and edited the instrumental components for their debut album, “The Palpable Leprosy of Pollution” (abbreviated as The PLOP). Following the online release of instrumental tracks, the duo connected with American vocalist Dan Watson from Indiana through social media, who discovered Infant Annihilator on Facebook. Pickard and Kitcher were impressed with Watson’s vocal performance and invited him to contribute vocals to the album. The band achieved viral notoriety online, amassing approximately 20,000 “likes” within a month of releasing the music video for “Decapitation Fornication.”

Following the release of the video, the group promoted their debut album, “The Palpable Leprosy of Pollution”, which was released on 12 December 2012 (12/12/12). Watson proposed the idea of releasing the album on this specific date. In retrospect, Watson expressed regret over the chosen release date, as it compelled him to hasten his work, resulting in dissatisfaction with his vocal performance.

Watson departed from the band in late 2013 and publicly announced his exit on 22 February 2014. He stated that his departure was due to feelings of inequality compared to the other two members and frustration over their decision to sign a contract without his input. Subsequently, Watson established the Washington-based deathcore band Enterprise Earth, collaborating with former Takeover guitarist BJ Sampson.
