We previously have had our festival in Borgholm and Dalhalla but now more than ever it made sense for us to return home. Göteborg Brinner is a celebration of our roots and love of heavy music. We shook Metal Town at the pier 16 years ago and we can’t wait to do it again. Returning to this special venue in our city will be deeply emotional and nostalgic. Come one, come all to celebrate with us and our friends! Anders

Frihamnen is located near central Gothenburg and is easily accessible by tram, bus, bike, or on foot. For those coming from outside the city, Gothenburg Central Station and major hotels are just a few minutes away. More detailed travel info will be available closer to the event. The event takes place outdoors in the industrial harbor area of Frihamnen, which will be transformed into a metal paradise for one day only. The festival will feature a variety of food trucks, bars, and refreshment areas, including options for vegetarian and vegan visitors.

Frihamnen holds a special place in Gothenburg’s metal history. It was once home to the legendary Metaltown Festival, where In Flames performed an unforgettable hometown show in 2010, a performance so powerful that a nearby bridge began to sway, triggering alarms. That was the last metal show ever held at Frihamnen — until now.
