Swedish metal giants In Flames have officially parted ways with their drummer Tanner Wayne. The band broke the news via social media, expressing gratitude for Wayne’s years of dedication and wishing him all the best moving forward.
“It is with profound gratitude and appreciation that we announce our creative decision to part ways with Tanner Wayne.
His dedication and musicianship over the past several years has left, and will continue to leave, a lasting mark on this band.
We wish him nothing but the best.
We appreciate your support and understanding at this time and hope to see you all on tour this summer.”
Wayne joined In Flames in the summer of 2018, stepping in after Joe Rickard’s departure. Rickard had performed on the band’s 2016 album “Battles”. Before joining the band, Wayne played in Underminded, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and Chiodos. He also contributed to In Flames’ most recent album, “Foregone”, which was released in February 2023 via Nuclear Blast.
At this time, the band has not announced a replacement drummer. Still, they’ll continue their “Foregone” tour through the summer of 2025 as planned.
