Imminence release new single and music video for “Death Shall Have No Dominion”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 8.2.2025

With the incredible worldwide success of their 2024 album ‘The Black’, Imminence have proven to be one of the fastest growing and most in-demand acts in the modern alternative music scene. The remarkable success of the band’s first, almost completely sold out US headline tour, a completely sold out European headline tour in October, followed by sold out Australian headline shows, marked the end of a stellar year for Imminence.

And Imminence aren’t thinking of taking a break. The year 2025 begins with the release of the heaviest and most extreme track the Swedes have composed to date. After the journey through the depths of “The Black”, the new single “Death Shall Have No Dominion” takes us straight to the bottom of the unforgiving, vicious and savage void that is “The Black”. Seamlessly combining the unmistakable string arrangements and violin melodies played by vocalist Eddie Berg with an instrumental foundation that pays tribute to Scandinavian death and black metal, Imminence deliver a completely unique sound that their fans call “violincore”.

Just when you might have thought that you knew what to expect, we turn around and give you a new single. And not any kind of single. I honestly don’t think there has ever been a more extreme track coming from this band. We want to show you that ’The Black’ goes deeper and darker than you could ever imagine, and we intend to take you there with us. Harald Barrett

Imminence recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut album “I” with a re-release including re-recorded vocals and a new mix and master. “The Reclamation of I” was a huge success and with a total of 1,000,000 online followers, over 400,000,000 streams and sold out shows around the world, Imminence underline how far they have come in the last decade with the announcement of their first European arena headline shows. With the brand new show concept “The Black Finale”, the band will present themselves like never before. The concerts will take place in December 2025 in five carefully selected cities. Immediately following the release of “Death Shall Have No Dominion” will be The Black Tour: Scandinavia 2025, followed by The Return of The Black Tour: North America 2025; tickets for both tours are scarce.
