“I wish I could clone some artists to make them work with me” – interview with Chris Bowes from Alestorm

Author Julia Suloinen - 5.6.2025

The one-of-a-kind metal party pirates – Alestorm – are coming up with the new album “The Thunderfist Chronocles” on the 20th of June via Napalm Records. This album will deliver everything we love Alestorm for – ultimate crazy spirate vibe, sea shanties with riffs and solos, and, of course, lots and lts of trademark humour – as well as treat with some surprises – collaborations, mega-epic 17-minute long song and an ode to boobs.

Chaoszine had a superfun chat with Alestorm’s founder Chris Bowes about benefits of writing extra-long songs, cloning other musicians for the sake of collaboration, necessity of self-cenzorship and many other things.
