The Belgian-born, Portland-based atmospheric black-metal outfit Hulder has quietly dropped a two-track single titled “A Beacon from Darkened Skies”, released independently. The digital offering features the title track and a second song, “Zonnesteen“.

On the EP, Hulder handles vocals, guitars, and keyboards, joined by Necreon on bass and vocals, and Vrolok on drums. Recording took place during July and August 2025. The title track was mixed and mastered by C.K. at Elektric City Studios, while “Zonnesteen” was mixed and mastered by Hulder themself.

Taken together, the release continues Hulder’s signature blend of dark medieval black metal, layered with folk-inspired atmospherics and chanting vocals. As with earlier works like “Verses in Oath” and “Winds of Autumnal Sorrow”, this single deepens the band’s eerie, ritual-tinged soundscape.
