Author Benedetta Baldin - 9.8.2026
The upcoming new album “Modern Life Is Lonely” by Holding Absence has been postponed, as per theprp. Due to manufacturing difficulties, the Welsh post-hardcore band’s fourth full-length album, which was originally scheduled for August 28th, will instead be released on September 18th. The band released the following statement on August 8th. The band’s first studio album, “Modern Life Is Lonely,” will be released after they signed with Sumerian Records.
Holding Absence Family,
We’re very sorry to share that, due to delays in the manufacturing process, our new album, “Modern Life Is Lonely”, will now be released on 18th September rather than the originally planned date of 28th August.
We’re gutted to have to delay the album & sincerely apologise for the disappointment this may cause. This decision has been made to ensure that every physical edition is delivered as intended & to the standard you deserve.
Before then, the title track, which was a favourite among those who attended our four UK album listening parties, will be released on 21st August.
Thank you for your patience, understanding & continued support
