Here are the winners in the metal and rock categories at the Grammy Awards: featuring Dream Theater and Foo Fighters

A short while ago, the annual music industry awards ceremony, the Grammy Awards, took place again. The ceremony once again honoured musicians from all over the world.

Bands and musicians were also honoured in the metal and rock categories. The metal Grammy went to progressive metal band Dream Theater for their song “Alien” and the rock album Grammy went to Foo Fighters for their album “Medicine At Midnight”. Foo Fighters also won awards in the categories “Best Rock Song” and “Best Rock Performance”.

This year, the remix category also saw a win in the metal world, as Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda’s remix of the Deftones‘ song “Passenger” for the band’s special album “White Pony” took home the prize.
