The Hellsinki Metal Festival, which sold out its Saturday tickets this summer, is releasing the first part of its lineup for 2025. As in the event’s first two years, there will be an interesting cross-section of international and domestic metal’s finest – not forgetting some surprising names.
The bands announced today are Hatebreed, Enslaved, Landmvrks, Kanonenfieber, Candlemass, Moonsorrow, Forbidden, Marduk, Me and That Man, Warmen, Sigh, Kiuas, Party Cannon, GosT, and Alfahanne.
Early bird tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster, Tiketti, and Lippupiste this Thursday, October 31st, at 10:00 AM. Only a limited number of discounted two-day tickets will be available in this initial sale.
Hellsinki Metal Festival promoter Toni Törrönen says there’s no need to change what’s been proven to work. He also notes that an artist’s size isn’t the only factor determining the event’s lineup choices.
“Artist selections are always based on quality, customer feedback, and exclusivity. I’ve found that Hellsinki Metal Festival customers appreciate finding performers and special shows in the program that they might not have expected,” Törrönen describes.
Hellsinki Metal Festival will be held as usual at the Helsinki Ice Hall area, where two outdoor stages and the ice hall itself will be available to festival attendees. The area for side events and venues, which expanded last year, will be further developed this year. Toni Törrönen reveals that the biggest visible change at Nordis will be related to the size of the outdoor stages.
“Two years of experience has shown that the Helsinki Ice Hall area is overall a good home for Hellsinki Metal Festival,” Törrönen summarizes.
