If you didn’t know up until now, I am italian. And for me, coffee is more than just a drink. It’s a ritual, and it is sacred. There isn’t a morning that goes by without a cup of this delicious drink, which is why when Concept Coffees started collaborating with heavy metal bands, I had to ask them if I could also share my thoughts about coffee. The first coffee that I tried was kindly brought us by the mighty Testament.
This coffee mix has an intriguing flavor profile, with chocolate and cedar as the primary characteristics. Chocolate qualities are a huge winning point in my scoreboard! Overall, the drink is a full-bodied coffee with a robust mouthfeel, but with a bright, prominent acidity that balances the heavier body. This combination of flavors is simply delightful and I found myself craving it after a few days of testing! If you want, you can get a pack (or more!) by clicking here.
My following test was directly from Brazil, as “Blood Brothers” is the coffee that has Cavalera‘s name all over it. I would say that this Brazilian coffee has a typical South American profile. But that is not a fault at all! Brazilian coffees are noted for their sugar, chocolaty flavor and cherry, making them ideal for espresso and dark roasts. And since espresso is a must for me, this was the perfect choice for a mid-morning break. Click here if you decide it’s for you!
Last but not for importance, it’s “Beheading & Brewing”, named after Cannibal Corpse. Their coffee has a flavor of malt, vanilla, and cedar indicate a well-developed roast that highlights the bean’s intrinsic richness. While it’s nice to drink coffee in the morning, I think that this is the most versatile of the three kinds. If you prefer it brewed hot or cold, you won’t be disappointed. This blend shows strong balance and perfect adaptability! Fancy a cup? Click here!
