Just a few days ago, Hardcore Superstar announced that “our bags are packed and we’re ready to go”:
“We’re hitting Mexico this weekend for the first show on our Latin America Tour, then its Chile, Brazil and Argentina…” – Hardcore Superstar
Shortly afterwards, the Swedish street metallers had to announce that their Latin American tour, which was supposed to start in Mexico on 8 October 2023, had to be postponed by a month at short notice:
“We are extremely sorry to announce that we have to postpone our Latin America Tour, due to a family emergency with one of the band members. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly and we are extremely sorry to all our fans, many of which we know have made travel arrangements to be at these shows. We are working with the promoter to get the dates rescheduled for next month and will let you know as soon as we have the new dates in place. Once again, we are sorry that we have had to do this but we promise we will get the dates rearranged as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Vic, Jocke, Martin and Johan” – Hardcore Superstar
In addition to the written statement, also a video message from Hardcore Superstar guitarist Vic Zino was released in which he reveals that the band member with the family emergency is himself, and that he did not want the announcement of the postponement “to be just a regular post”:
“It’s not a thing that we take lightly.”
– Vic Zino
Vic Zino further explains that “everything in our power” was done to reschedule the family matter, but that it was not possible in the end.
In the meantime, the new tour dates have been announced. Hardcore Superstar will start their Latin America tour in Mexico on 12 November 2023. The dates can be seen below.
