Recently we reported on our website announcing the death of former Turbonegro singer Hank Von Hell, real name Hans Erik Dyvik Husby. Hank Von Hell, the Norwegian who led Turbonegro for 17 years, died on 19 November at the age of 49.

No official cause of death has yet been announced, so naturally the internet has been full of speculation. But now, Von Hell’s manager and best friend Boye Nythun is cutting the wings off any rumours of suicide.

“In recent days, we have seen and observed a lot of rumors about Hans-Erik’s death. I can deny that Hans-Erik took his own life. Hans-Erik had optimistic plans for the future and much to look forward to”, Nythun tells to Se og Hør and continues:

“”It was no secret that Hans-Erik has lived a hard life at times. He has also been open about this before. The last few months have been extra hard for him, and unfortunately the sum of a hard-lived life became too much for him. Hans-Erik’s body could no longer stand it. He was found in Slottsparken. His body had simply said ‘stop.’ It is tragic, and now we ask for peace.”

Nythun says that there will be no further information on the Hank Von Hell case in the near future, but that he had decided to open his mouth now to dispel the rumours.
