Great news: Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus says he is cancer free

Mark Hoppus, bassist of pop punk band Blink-182, revealed the sad news in June.

Hoppus announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatments. In July, Hoppus was already hopeful about his recovery, and vowed to beat the disease.

Now Hoppus has given some good news:

“Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love.”

Hoppus will have to undergo screening for another six months, but that is probably a reasonable loss considering that Hoppus’ cancer has been cured.
