Legendary rock and blues guitarist Gary Hoey‘s first album in six years, “Avalanche,” was published by his own label, Wazoo Music Group, as reported from blabbermouth.net. The official music video for “You Know I Would” off of “Avalanche” contains Lita Ford as a special guest vocalist. “Dear Mama” pays homage to Gary’s mother, while “Summer’s Here” features Ian Hoey, Gary’s son. Hoey enlisted his old pals Ian Hoey on guitar, Matt Scurfield on drums, AJ Pappas on bass, and his niece Taylor on backing vocals to assist with the recording.

‘Avalanche’ is a return to my rock roots. It feels great to turn up the volume and have some fun. This album was a therapeutic album for me. I named the album ‘Avalanche’ because sometimes life feels like one thing after another. Playing live is the best feeling,” he said. “I love to travel and see the fans after the show. And having my son Ian playing guitar by my side is a dream come true. We will be playing the new and the old classics ‘Hocus Pocus’, ‘Low Rider’ and more.
