Gallows reveal what they’re teasing (and it’s not what we were hoping for)

It turns out that the British hardcore punk band Gallows‘ recent social media teases about their history weren’t for a full-fledged reunion with their former vocalist Frank Carter, as per theprp. Instead, the band has just restored reissues of their first two albums, “Orchestra of Wolves” and “Grey Britain,” as they announced earlier today, September 8. On November 6th, both will be out. Both are available for pre-order on bloodykingdom.com.

Although Gallows was founded in 2004, live performances didn’t start until 2005. In 2006, they put out their first album, “Orchestra of Wolves”. Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion was impressed by the album and decided to release it in the US on Epitaph Records. The CD featured new tracks, including a rendition of “Nervous Breakdown” by Black Flag. In an interview, Gurewitz praised “Orchestra of Wolves” as the best hardcore album since Refused‘s “The Shape of Punk to Come” and listed it as one of his top 2007 albums. The South by Southwest showcase festival, Warped Tour 2007, Download Festival, Taste of Chaos, and the Reading Festival were all stops on Gallows’ 2007 tour. At the Reading Festival, the band stopped playing so frontman Frank Carter could get an onstage tattoo.
