US extreme metal band Full of Hell have announced the release of a new seven-track EP entitled “Broken Sword, Rotten Shield”, out on May 16th via Closed Casket Activities. Production has been handled by the band’s long-time collaborator Kevin Bernsten (Misery Index, Pig Destroyer). The first taste of the album “Knight’s Oath” is now available below, as well as on streaming services.

It’s a slower song by the band’s standards, diving into riff-driven death metal. According to the EP description, the song “captures the tragic beauty of unwavering devotion in a surreal narrative where warriors driven by glory and sorrow take on animalistic forms.” Stylistically, the song treads in deep waters, but it has an infectious atmosphere that makes it one of the band’s most interesting productions in a long time.
