Forzaken drops new single “Fade To Grey”

Chilean metallers Forzaken have unveiled a new single entitled “Fade To Grey”. Listen to the track below.

After debuting in June this year (2024) with their song “Judith“, Forzaken are back with a new single called “Fade To Grey”.

Formed in 2017, the Chilean band is known for evoking a wide range of intense and passionate emotions through their lyrics and energetic and epic music. Influenced by Finnish metal bands such as Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Stratovarius and Children of Bodom, the group combines the energy of 2000’s power metal with a modern and fresh touch, creating a unique and fascinating sound.

Their new single talks about how our choices affect our reality and how we have the power to influence the experiences we live, although we are often unaware of it.

In the band’s own words: “The lyrics of ‘Fade To Grey’ evoke memories of a painful past that not only leave marks on our minds and bodies but are also experiences that make us grow. They teach us to set boundaries and stop what hurts us. In this way, we can let go of pain and become more empathetic, resilient people and value life as a whole“.

They also add: “We were inspired by the power metal sounds of the 90s and early 2000s, with orchestral arrangements that give a refreshing twist to the symphonic power metal style. The song becomes an intense journey that everyone can enjoy. We hope that many people will be able to empathise with the lyrics and feel a sense of relief or hope that from pain and anguish, we can also grow and learn to create a reality according to our own needs and well-being“.

“Fade To Grey” was recorded at Agartha Records and Diego Ramirez (Kudai) studios, mixed and mastered by Aldo Viñuela. Felipe Luna made the artwork cover.

The band is currently made up of Sebastián Castillo (bass), Diego Garrido (keyboardist and composer), Álvaro Gómez (drummer), Aldo Viñuela (guitarist and composer) and their new single is already available on Spotify and all digital platforms.
