Former Liv Sin guitarist Jay Matharu rejoins Hexed

Author Stefanie Nysand - 23.7.2025

At the beginning of January 2025, guitarist Jay Matharu left Liv Sin, the band around Sister Sin frontwoman Liv Jagrell. Now, he has announced his temporary return to the Swedish dark symphonic metal band Hexed:

“I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be returning to the stage with Swedish metal act HEXED for a limited run of live performances in 2025. The last time we played music together was six years ago. Since then a lot has happened! Hexed’s music has always spoken to me, sharing a lot of similar influences to my own. I’m really looking forward to, not only the challenge of learning material from the albums ‘Pagans Rising’ and ‘Netherworld’ but also performing with my old friends Tina, Stellan, Danne and Henrik.”

Hexed add:

“Welcome back Jay! We are so excited and pleased to get to share the rest of our magical gigs this year with our friend Jay Matharu!”
