Foo Fighters announce guests of both London and LA Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts

The first wave of guests who are to join The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts in celebration of the life, music and love of one of modern music’s most beloved characters has been confirmed, with many more to be added.

There will be two all-star events in celebration of Taylor’s memory and legacy: the first will take place on September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium; the second on September 27 at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. 

Guests for the London concert include Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush, Liam Gallagher of Oasis, Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen, Stewart Copeland of The Police, Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction, Joshua Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age, Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders, plus Dave Chappelle, Wolfgang Van Halen, Omar Hakim and members of Hawkins’s covers band Chevy Metal. They will all join Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee and the Taylor Hawkins family to celebrate the life, music and love of the late drummer on September 3rd.

The LA date will include guests such as Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette, Gene Simmons, Nikki Sixx, Chad Smith, Luke Spiller, Jon Theodore, Brad Wilk and Pat Wilson, alongside some of the guests who will also appear in London.

The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities chosen by the Hawkins family, both in the UK and the US. More details will be announced soon.
