A unique cultural and musical event is coming to Helsinki this fall. F:F:F: – Formosa : Finland : Fest will take over Tiivistämö on November 27, 2025. It offers a free night that unites the metal legacies of Taiwan and Finland on the same stage.
The lineup is nothing short of spectacular. Finnish folk metal giants Korpiklaani, groove-thrash frontrunners Lost Society, and Taiwanese heavyweights CHTHONIC (featuring Finnish violinist Olli Vänskä). Additionally, Flesh Juicer, Crescent Lament, and electronic artist Sonia Calico will perform.
The event is organized by Taiwan’s General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC). It marks the official arrival of Taiwan’s new ambassador to Finland — none other than Freddy Lim, frontman of Chthonic and long-time cultural figure.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to return to Finland after more than a decade – this time as Taiwan’s official representative. While Finns may recognize the historical and geopolitical parallels between Finland and Taiwan, through F:F:F you’ll also see that both our nations are masters at producing quality metal! Let’s strengthen our diplomacy through music and culture,” Freddy Lim says.
In addition to six live performances, F:F:F expands into a full cultural experience. The night will feature:
“F:F:F is not just a concert – it’s a celebration for the ears, eyes, and taste buds,” explains GACC secretary-general Lee Hou-ching.
The event is part of Taiwan European Culture Connect 2025. This program is a wide-ranging cultural diplomacy initiative with over 70 Taiwanese events across 26 European countries.
