Fervence reveals new single “Ascension” from new album “Constructs”

Texas progressive metalcore band Fervence reveals “Ascension,” a new single and music video from their upcoming album “Constructs.” The full-length drops on October 16th through Metal Blade Records.

Founding guitarist Trent Odneal explains why this track stands apart from the rest of the record. “‘Ascension’ came about because I felt like the album really needed chaos, short, fast, and seemingly out of left field,” he says. “Kind of like a fever-dream with a fleeting moment of reflection before it slips away, only to be pulled back into the chaos.”

“Constructs” marks Fervence‘s Metal Blade debut and follows their 2020 full-length “Ghost” and the 2023 EP “Realm//One.” The band originally formed in 2019 in Reno, Nevada as Odneal’s solo project. Vocalist Stevie B. joined in 2023, and the group has since relocated to Austin, Texas. Along the way, Fervence toured the West Coast and shared stages with Otep, Left To Suffer, and Gideon.

Odneal and guitarist Austin Bentley produced “Constructs,” while Zack Ohren handled mixing and mastering. Bentley also shared his thoughts on the title track’s meaning. “We all take different paths that shape who we are and who we eventually become,” he says. “But those paths are just constructs of thought stored in memory. Some good, some terrible, but all of them contribute to the people we are now.”

The album features eleven tracks and arrives on CD, digital, and vinyl formats. Fans can pre-order now at Metal Blade store. Fervence also confirmed upcoming tour dates, including remaining shows with Beauty Is Betrayal and a fall run with Enthronement launching on release day.
