Fear Factory to reveal new singer by early 2022

Author Jad - 15.11.2021

According to a recent interview with Dino Cazares, guitarist of Fear Factory, the band is to reveal a brand new singer by the new year.

Longtime vocalist Burton C. Bell had departed from the band in 2020 after a disagreement with Cazares. Following the departure, Fear Factory released “Aggression Continuum”, their 10th studio album, which will most likely be their last album featuring Bell.

In a new interview with This Day in Metal, Dino Cazares spoke about a new singer he’s hired, mentioning that he will be revealed to fans with a new song release in February 2022, before Fear Factory begin their tour with Static-X.

We plan on showcasing him with a new song, I really want people to hear it and judge it by when they hear it. Because if I announce who it is right now, then it’s gonna be, like, everybody is gonna give their opinion before they even hear anything. So I’d rather people give their opinion when they hear it than before they hear it.

Earlier this year, Cazares mentioned the mystery singer is “kind of known”. He also mentioned auditioning female singers to potentially take Bell’s place, but ended up hiring a male singer.

Male, female, whatever, known, unknown — I was open to all of that, and it turned out to be somebody who is kind of known, I guess. Kind of known. He does have experience.”
