Exclusive: Winston McCall discusses 20 years of Parkway Drive

Australian metalcore giants Parkway Drive, hailing from Byron Bay, will bring their 20th anniversary tour to Helsinki Ice Hall on November 12th, 2025.

Formed in 2003, the band took its name from the street where their early rehearsal space and punk venue “Parkway House” was located. Parkway Drive’s career gained momentum right from the start when their debut album was produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, which helped shine international attention on the band. That release launched them onto the global touring circuit, where they’ve remained ever since, consistently fueling the fire with impactful albums – the most recent being the raw and honest “Darker Still.”

Renowned for their explosive live performances and visually stunning stage production, Parkway Drive left a lasting impression at last summer’s Tuska Festival. Their upcoming anniversary shows promise to be even bigger, bolder, and unmatched in grandeur.

Joining the tour package are two more heavyweights from Australia’s vibrant metal scene: deathcore powerhouse Thy Art Is Murder and metalcore favorites The Amity Affliction.

Before kicking off the anniversary run, Parkway Drive played an intimate warm-up show at Berlin’s Metropol club in front of just 150 people. Chaoszine had the chance to sit down with frontman Winston McCall for an exclusive video interview before the show. The conversation covered the band’s journey from their early days to the present, their upcoming 20th anniversary tour, and even offered a glimpse into what the future might hold for Parkway Drive.
