Eva Under Fire release new single “The Words You Say”

Listening to Eva Under Fire is quite literally hard rock therapy, turning scars and demons into anthems of inner strength. As a licensed therapist and powerhouse vocalist/songwriter, Amanda Lyberg blends emotional insight with powerful songwriting, delivering lyrics and performances that connect deeply and hit listeners right in the feels.

The Detroit quintet will unleash its new album “Villanous” via Better Noise Music on July 10. It follows their 2022-released debut, “Love, Drugs & Misery”. Today, the band shares the lyric video for the new song “The Words You Say“.

The words of the lead singer Amanda Lyberg about what song says:

“This song is about being in a toxic relationship when words are often twisted and used against us. “It scrambles our minds and makes reality seem so far away.”

The new song is a mid-tempo, emotionally violent rager and it arrives as the title track and first radio single, which features In This Moment’s Maria Brink, climbs towards Top 10 at radio.

2026 will find Eva Under Fire on tour for most of the year so opportunities to see the band command the stage will be plentiful. The band spent the winter laying waste to venues alongside Jeris Johnson and Butcher Babies. They will return to the road this summer, serving as support for Five Finger Death Punch’s 20th Anniversary World Tour 2026.
