Epic Fest will feature a special opening show – Fabio Lione’s Dawn of Victory feat. Roskilde Cathedral Girls’ Choir

The grand opening concert on Friday, April 4th 2025, at the new Epic Fest main stage, “Realm of Might and Magic,” will feature a special performance by Fabio Lione’s Dawn of Victory, joined by the Roskilde Cathedral (a part of UNESCO’s World Heritage site) Girls’ Choir under the direction of conductor Mette Bjærang Pedersen, with choir arrangement composed by Danish filmscore composer Max Uldahl Pedersen.

Get ready for an absolutely grand and magical show as Roskilde Cathedral’s renowned girls’ choir, comprising 21 members, meets some of the iconic Rhapsody songs! This will be EPIC! 

With incredible music and incredible choir arrangements. This show at Epic Fest will be truly epic! Really, really epic.

Epic Fest is an incredibly exciting and relatively new festival in Roskilde, which has already, within just a few years, achieved an impressive impact on the metal scene and the powermetal community – not only in Denmark but also internationally. We in Roskilde Cathedral Girls’ Choir are both proud and honored to be part of the opening concert, performing iconic songs from the band Rhapsody, together with Fabio Lione. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the strong local musical talent that also exists here in Roskilde. It means a lot to us to step outside our usual repertoire and take on a genre that one would not typically associate with Roskilde Cathedral Girls’ Choir. This collaboration helps to broaden the girls’ musical horizons and allows us to reach a new and different audience. And who knows – perhaps one of the future stars of the metal scene is already in the choir, performing for thousands of metal fans for the very first time!
