Enthroned drop title single “Ashspawn” ahead of new album

Belgian black metal force Enthroned have released the title track “Ashspawn” as a new single from their upcoming album of the same name, due December 5, 2025 through Season of Mist.

The band had earlier unveiled “Raviasamin” as the first preview, but now shift focus with “Ashspawn” to highlight the album’s central concept. Musically, the track blends ferocious black metal passages with dark atmospherics, shifting between jagged dissonance and haunting melody. The drumming moves from relentless blast beats to slow, ritualistic pacing, giving the song a dynamic and ominous flow.

Lyrically, “Ashspawn” continues the album’s exploration of spiritual death, negation, and rebirth. The record itself was developed over six years in collaboration with occult author Gilles de Laval, serving as a thematic and sonic descent into transcendence. The single acts as both a standalone piece and a ritualistic introduction to the album’s broader vision.

Enthroned’s current lineup includes Nornagest on vocals and samplers, T. Kaos handling guitars and bass, and Menthor on drums and percussion. “Ashspawn” is available for pre-order now in digital, CD, and vinyl formats.
