Swedish symphonic metal band Eleine has announced the immediate departure of drummer Jesper Sunnhagen and bassist Filip Stålberg. According to a statement released by the band’s founders Madeleine Liljestam and Rikard Ekberg, both members were dismissed for violating their band member contract through inappropriate behavior towards fans.
The band has confirmed that these changes will not affect their upcoming tour schedule, with replacement musicians already secured to fulfill the live performances.
“We put our fans first,” stated Madeleine and Rikard in their announcement to the Eleine Legions, as their fanbase is known. The band’s decision demonstrates their commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for their supporters.
The specific details regarding the contract violation were not disclosed in the announcement. Eleine will continue their scheduled performances with stand-in musicians for the drum and bass positions.
