Heavy psychedelic rock outfit Elder has dropped a new single titled “Capture/Release”. The track marks the second preview from their forthcoming seventh studio album, “Through Zero”, which arrives on May 29, 2026.
Originally formed in Massachusetts in 2006, Elder now operates out of Berlin. The band has released six full-length albums to date. Their lineup features Nick DiSalvo on guitar, vocals and synthesizer, Jack Donovan on bass, Michael Risberg on guitar, Rhodes piano and slide guitar, plus Georg Edert on drums.
A music video accompanies the new single, directed by Sean Miller of Agency 159. Furthermore, the clip captures the band performing the song surrounded by a stage light show.
“Capture/Release” follows the title track, which the band shared in March. Additionally, the album was self-produced and co-mixed with longtime collaborator Richard Behrens. Recording took place at Big Snuff Studio in Berlin between tours in late 2025 and early 2026. Adam Hill created the artwork.
Elder also heads out on a European and UK tour this summer. Moreover, US dates follow in the fall.
