Eivør signs with Nuclear Blast – unveils 2025 European tour

Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør has officially signed with Nuclear Blast Records, opening a bold new chapter in her genre-defying career. The announcement arrives alongside a tour trailer for her upcoming 2025 European trek, which features special guest Ásgeir and support from fellow Faroese artist Elinborg.

Eivør is currently writing and recording her next studio album, set for release in 2026 through Nuclear Blast. The new material will follow her critically praised album “ENN”, known for its blend of traditional Faroese folk, cinematic soundscapes, electronic textures, and haunting vocals.

With a sound that straddles the primal and the ethereal, Eivør has long resisted being boxed into any one genre. Over the past two decades, she’s released eleven studio albums and composed music for major international productions like The Last Kingdom and God of War. Her live shows are immersive, ritualistic experiences, where guttural vocals, atmospheric visuals, and raw emotion collide.

Her musical roots run deep into the windswept landscape of the Faroe Islands. Drawing inspiration from traditional Faroese singing and the rugged terrain of her homeland, Eivør has developed a distinctive vocal style influenced by everything from throat singing to beatboxing and metal growls. She embraces a raw expressiveness that feels both ancient and modern.

Eivør’s bond with the metal and alternative communities has grown stronger over time, with fans connecting to her pagan, elemental aesthetic and fearless artistic vision. While she’s never fit neatly into any one genre, that refusal to conform has become a defining trait of her work.

The 2025 European tour kicks off September 19th in Ghent and wraps up October 26th in Oslo, with stops in cities including London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Helsinki, and Stockholm.
