Download Festival attendee admits guilt following public decency arrest

The couple who were unintentionally caught on camera having sex on the Ferris wheel during the “Download Festival” in June has had their day in court, as per theprp. After a police inquiry was triggered by viral film of his public sex act, 33-year-old Innes Miller entered a guilty plea to outraging public decency. According to the Nottingham Post, Miller’s supervisor swiftly confronted him after viewing the video. Children were present and witnessed the couple’s behaviour on the Ferris wheel, according to witnesses in court. Miller was fined £80 and required to pay a victim surcharge of £32 in addition to £85 in court costs. After the woman admitted to the crime, she was not charged.

The two say they met on the morning of the celebration. Miller was already facing a community order for a drug-driving offence at the time of the festival incident, according to reports, and he originally declined to comment on the case, which resulted in the more severe accusation.

Since 2003, Donington Park in Leicestershire, England has hosted the outdoor rock and metal Download Festival every June. With over 100 bands performing on multiple stages and 75,000–80,000 spectators in recent years, it is the biggest rock festival in the United Kingdom. Approximately 900 acres (360 ha) make up the property, which has a sizable “village” portion with stalls, bars, and entertainment. It is next to East Midlands Airport and encircles Donington Racecourse. In addition to Donington, it took place in Paris (France), Madrid (Spain), Hockenheimring (Germany), Sydney, and Melbourne (Australia) between 2016 and 2022. Andy Copping developed Download as a replacement for Monsters of Rock, which took place in Donington until 1996.

Some of the biggest rock and metal bands have performed at Download. It is comparable to the nearby Bloodstock Festival, but Download is significantly bigger, has more major bands, and a wider variety of genres.
