This year’s nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame include Soundgarden, Bad Company, Phish, and The Black Crowes. A band or artist must have put out their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination in order to be eligible. While Soundgarden made a comeback to the ballot after first showing up in 2023, Bad Company, Phish, and The Black Crowes made the list for the first time. Over 1,200 musicians, historians, and members of the music industry from around the world vote on the nominees. An artist’s influence on other musicians, the breadth and durability of their body of work, and their inventiveness and technical prowess are among the selection criteria.
This remarkable list of nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame honors and celebrates. Continuing in the true spirit of rock and roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps.
