Delain announce European tour in 2027 with Marko Hietala

With its strong lyrics, unique musical personality, and dynamic sound, Delain has become a lasting influence in contemporary melodic metal for the past 20 years, as per Blabbermouth. With albums like “April Rain,” “We Are The Others,” “The Human Contradiction,” and more recent releases like “Dark Waters” in 2023, which debuted at No. 9 on both the official German album chart and the U.S. Hard Music albums chart, Delain has amassed a devoted international following since the release of their debut album, “Lucidity,” twenty years ago. This is the band’s most successful record to date.

Celebrating 20 years since the release of “Lucidity,” Delain is officially launching a new creative era in February 2027 with the announcement of ten incredible live performances. A unique lineup of well-known guest musicians and singers will be featured in Delain’s customised format for this tour, providing an unforgettable and diverse live experience. Former Nightwish bassist/vocalist Marko Hietala is one of these rare guests. His long-standing relationship with Delain mastermind Martijn Westerholt has led to some of Delain’s most famous collaborations. His participation on this tour is a fan favourite and a potent reunion. Later on, more guest performers will be revealed.
