The band’s rendition of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus” was professionally filmed at Def Leppard’s third Las Vegas residency, “Def Leppard Live At Caesars Palace: The Las Vegas Residency,” which took place in February, as per Blabbermouth. The 12-show engagement was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honourees’ first appearance at the 4,300-seat The Colosseum, following sold-out residencies in 2013 and 2019. Def Leppard originally recorded a version of “Personal Jesus” in 2018 at Spotify’s recording studio for the streaming service’s “Spotify Singles” series.
Def Leppard released their twelfth studio album, titled “Diamond Star Halos,” in 2022. The subsequent year, the band debuted “Drastic Symphonies,” which features reinterpretations of several of Def Leppard‘s most popular tracks alongside London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recorded at Abbey Road. This album held the top spot on the Billboard Current Classical chart for 15 weeks. In March 2019, Def Leppard was officially inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, a milestone achieved 14 years after they initially qualified for consideration.
