David Lee Roth comments on his cancelled farewell shows: “Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose”
David Lee Roth of Van Halen fame had planned to play his last scheduled concerts before his retirement in January. However, all of Roth’s farewell concerts have had to be cancelled due to the interest rate crisis.
Roth has now made his first official statement on the cancellations. Roth told the EW website:
“Sometimes you win, Sometimes you lose, We got rained out… Covid cancelled. Future shows? When the benefit concerts for Colorado, Farm Aid, and hospital workers ‘everywhere’ come up; Call me..”
Roth announced his intention to retire in January 2022, originally in October 2021.
