South England-born melodic hardcore punk outfit Darko has shared a new music video for the single “Aggro”. The track is the latest release from the band’s forthcoming EP “Greyscale”, which is set for release on May 17 via Lockjaw Records. Watch the clip below.
Darko‘s new single “Aggro” is a blistering audio assault, venting the frustrations and anguish of working life, and uncontrollable external factors stifling progress. The lyrics, penned by bassist Karl Sursham, will resonate with anyone stuck on a long call, waiting for a straightforward answer but being hopelessly bounced around departments.
Released March 11 via Lockjaw Records (EU) and Thousand Island Records (NA), “Aggro” is the second single from “Greyscale”, the nihilistic second chapter of a trilogy of EPs from the South East England quintet. The video was filmed by Benny P, Craig Temple and Matt Carson, main shots were performed at Handfest 2023.
In over 10 years of touring, Darko has developed a loyal following worldwide. They’ve played in over 37 countries, including tours of Japan, Australia and Canada. They’re a popular choice on the European festival circuit, having played at Punk Rock Holiday (SL, main stage), Music 4 Cancer (CA), Jera on Air (NL), EXIT Fest (RS), KNRD Fest (DE, headliner), Brakrock (BE) and Mighty Sounds (CZ) to name a few.
In 2022, Darko toured Canada, Italy, Austria and Slovenia with skate-punk legends and label mates Belvedere, as well as drawing a great crowd to the main stage of Manchester Punk Fest.
