Dance Gavin Dance releases new single “Space Cow Initiation Ritual” featuring George Clinton

American rock band Dance Gavin Dance has released a new single, “Space Cow Initiation Ritual”, featuring funk legend George Clinton. The song is from their upcoming album “Pantheon”, set for release on September 12th via Rise Records.

Earlier singles from “Pantheon” include “Midnight at McGuffy’s”, “All the Way Down”, and “Trap Door”. The album will be the band’s eleventh studio release, and the first to officially credit Andrew Wells as co-lead vocalist—a role he’s embraced since joining as guitarist in 2022. It also marks their first studio release since the passing of bassist Tim Feerick in 2022 and the departure of vocalist Tilian Pearson in 2024.

With “Space Cow Initiation Ritual”, the band delivers another curveball—melding their adventurous sound with Clinton’s funk-infused energy—and setting the stage for one of their most anticipated releases yet.
