Newtown, Connecticut metalcore outfit Currents have released their latest single, “It Only Gets Darker“. The track now available to listen to below and on streaming platforms.

Coming off their 2023 album “The Death We Seek,” Currents are doubling down on their darker, more aggressive sound. The new single leans heavily into rhythmic intensity and emotional weight, offering a natural evolution from the themes of their previous release.

The timing of the release aligns with the band’s upcoming North American tour, where they’ll be supporting We Came As Romans on the Bad Luck tour. Also on the lineup are After The Burial and Johnny Booth, with dates running from July 22nd in Toronto to August 23rd in Detroit.

Produced by guitarist Chris Wiseman, “It Only Gets Darker” could signal the start of a new creative chapter for the band as they continue building momentum on the road and in the studio.
