Crucified Barbara frontwoman Mia “Coldheart” Karlsson releases new solo single “Under Water”

Mia Karlsson, better known as Mia Coldheart, frontwoman of the Swedish hard rock band Crucified Barbara, has released a new solo single, entitled “Under Water“. You can listen to the song below:

“Under Water” features the Brazilian drummer and percussionist Marcio Bicaco, who comments on the collaboration as follows:

“I first met Mia with Crucified Barbara at a festival here in Brazil in 2012, where I was also performing with my own band. Years later, I discovered Mia’s solo work online and really enjoyed it. Not long ago, I was experimenting with some vibraphone ideas based on one of her songs; I posted a clip to my Instagram Stories, and that sparked a conversation about potentially collaborating on a future track. It was a very rewarding and unique experience to contribute some percussion elements to one of Mia’s songs. Making music remotely and engaging with the culture of a country so far away is challenging. Yet in inspires us to explore new creative paths. I hope we can collaborate again in the future.”
